Not having been out in 2 weeks due to the windy weather we did not know what to expect. The safety briefing included the strong possibility that visibility would make our trip a short one. Mike, Grayson, and West assured me that whatever we had would be better then the quarry’s they dive in Indiana. Just as we were greeted with flat seas out the pass our first drop had 20 plus clean feet of vis in 35 feet of water. The fish where everywhere as usual and 4 first time spear fishermen were treated to target practice. We finished the day with 29 hogfish, 2 gags, and 1 big mangrove snapper. Not a bad take given Jonathan and his family from Indiana had never fired a speargun “in the water” before.
