What a way to start and end a birthday fishing trip.  At our 1st stop the action was almost instantaneous but only 1 guy was catching fish, Javi.  The joke was that everyone else on board was just being courteous, but we all knew that was some serious BS.  It did not last long as after about 10 minutes everyone had fish bending their poles.  Big keeper size gag grouper after big keeper size gag grouper were flying over the rail all day.  Unfortunately NOAA and the National Marine Fisheries Service considers them almost extinct but somehow we just could not stop catching them all day.  We’ll back to the story at hand. At our last stop of the day and after I fired up the ladies to head home I turned around to see Javi leaning back and it seemed like he was holding on for dear life.  A few minutes later this monster came up for a quick photo before we set him free.  The whole group owes Mimi, Javi’s wife who put this trip together, a big thanks for a great idea and a great day.
